Seedleaf Agroforestry Program

The Seedleaf Agroforestry Program (SAP) is a monthly program, running January - October. We meet on the second Saturday of each month from 9AM-12PM. With each 3-hour program, we explore a topic, learn new skills and apply agroforestry practices with hands-on learning.

Some of the topics we will cover include:

  • Kentucky native species

  • planting food forests

  • managing forest succession

  • ethnobotany and cultivation of woody plants

  • pruning and maintenance of woody plants

  • planting windbreaks and hedges

  • biochar production and applications

  • building bioreactors
