Volunteer

One of the goals of Seedleaf is to nourish fellowship and community throughout Lexington by growing and sharing food. This work happens primarily through volunteers like you!

How to volunteer with Seedleaf

  1. Sign up for days and times that work for you.

  2. Show up to the garden at your scheduled time.

  3. Check-in with a staff member once you arrive to the garden.

Opportunities are available multiple days a week March 10th-October 31st. Volunteer events are cancelled on rain days or when temperatures are above 90 degrees or below 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Organizational Groups

Seedleaf welcomes various organizations to join us in completing labor-intensive garden tasks. This is a great way for student, religious, and corporate groups to engage in team building and group development while also getting a chance to play outside.

If your group is under 10 people, check out our regular volunteer opportunities here. Each member of your group must sign a waiver and register before volunteering.

Volunteering at Headwater Farm

Volunteer opportunities at the farm are available through most of the year as well as educational opportunities for our SAP program. Please note: If your group is larger than 10 people, please email farm@seedleaf.org with your group name, desired dates, and number of people. When larger projects are available, we will contact your group to schedule. At this time, we can only accommodate groups up to 15 people unless it is a sponsored event.
